Caroline Springs mum wins bronze at 2019 St.George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards
Kelly Dennis, from Caroline Springs, who founded The Fit Station Caroline Springs has been named as VIC Business Excellence Award third place recipient.
The awards were held at White Night Receptions, Melbourne where talented mums in business from all over the country gathered to support and encourage other Australian mumpreneurs.
Kelly said she was excited to be recognised as the third place recipient in her category in the 2019 St.George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards against such a talented group of women.
Kelly says: “I am extremely honoured to have received this award amongst such an amazing bunch of business women. We love what we do and to be able to change and make a difference in so many peoples lives is an honour. Mums especially have the chance to do something for themselves and know they can bring their kids along with them at no extra charge in a safe and welcoming environment”
“The calibre of the women at this event was nothing short of amazing from all over Australia, mums are doing amazing things and I am so proud to be a part of this.”
AusMumpreneur was created to support Australian entrepreneurs like Kelly and her fellow AusMumpreneur Award winners, Peace Mitchell, cofounder of AusMumpreneur said.
“These awards are all about recognising the growing number of mums who are achieving outstanding business success while balancing motherhood, “Peace adds.
The St. George Banking Group, which consists of St. George Bank, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA are proud to partner with AusMumpreneur to recognise Australia’s entrepreneurial women.
“St. George Bank is keen to support Australian entrepreneurs like Kelly Dennis and her fellow AusMumpreneur Award winners,” states Stuart Zalunardo.
“I was blown away by the entrepreneurial spirit of the award winners and am very confident that they will provide great inspiration for other mums considering starting their own business.”
This is the tenth year the St. George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards have run, with the business mum community growing at lightning speed as mothers look for opportunities to join the ranks of small business owners in search of more flexibility, financial freedom and family time.
AusMumpreneur Network co-founder Katy Garner exclaims: “The awards show the passion of women who want to fulfil their entrepreneurial dreams as well as be great mums.”
“The number of women starting businesses has continued to grow in the last 12 months! Of the 668,670 women operating a small business in Australia currently, a total of 47 per cent are mums with children at home. We are thrilled to be the number one community for mumpreneurs and proud to showcase the best and the brightest each year through these awards.”
Peace Mitchell concludes: “We are delighted that Kelly has been recognised with this award, she has created an outstanding business and is an inspirational role model and ambassador for mums in business everywhere. We wish her and all our amazing Ausmumpreneur Award winners every success in the coming year.”
